Actually, the PATA stuff didn't move. New (experimental) drivers were introduced, but the standard is still in the same place and works exactly as before. The SATA drivers were moved, something that should have been handled by oldconfig but wasn't :( -- Neil Bothwick It's kinda fun to consummate the impossible.
