Actually, I agree with you - my original reply must have been the result of an approximation. I don't believe you were rude at all, or that you were having a go at the original hijacker. I apologize if I gave that impression. As I said in my reply to PaulNM, I feel that this list should have an FAQ that elucidates the etiquette of this mailing list, sent to new subscribers, and posted periodically to the list. It could cover a large number of things - not just thread hijacking, and would help to prevent such things, in the future.
