Gut feel tells me to leave well enough alone in this case. The fonts at least 
get their nls flag from the x-modular eclass, and I can't see that this would 
do more than build some extra glyphs that are not present in latin script.

As for the rest, the machine will be busy for quite a while rebuilding 
packages. But it's an installed box that is currently working just fine and 
helping other people do their job. The major benefit to changing this flag is 
saving disk space and build time by not having to build all those foreign 
language output messages. But it your case that has already been done, so what 
will you really be saving by changing it?
