ok, got it working, these two lines below need to be all one line...

> smtp inet n - - - - smtpd
> -o content_filter=spamassassin

These 3 lines below need to be all one line.

> spamassassin unix - n n - - pipe
> user=nobody argv=/usr/bin/spamc -f -e
> /usr/sbin/sendmail -oi -f ${sender} ${recipient}
