Thanks for the reply, Thats very interesting, I wasn't aware of the web based messenger and I will investigate it. I would try out kopete, but I really don't want to have to build kdelibs on this machine and I don't have a build host available right now. I'll also try the latest pidgin, as I'm not currently running ~arch. Thanks for the tips. Matt
