We had a Global Teleconference on Sunday 28th September 2007.
I would be happy to comment on the document seeing a copy.
The sea level rise estimates are going to be revised up.
Through fjord system the melting can escalate to 200 cm which will be IPCC
upper estimate in the next revision of their report.
But the conference discussed Greenland ice sheet land containment failure risk
in post sea ice Arctic.
We think the entire Greenland ice sheet starts float on land on its own
meltwaters (+ and rainwater falling on ice during the flash floods that wash
its ice, dropping now sometimes 15 cm in one storm).
This could lead to ice sheet slide out where the bulk of ice may break through
Melville Bay coastal barrier as soon as enough ground connectivity is lost.
