Applications are invited by the Department of Geography for a nine month limited-term appointment at the Lecturer/Assistant Professor level (subject to budgetary approval), to teach the following courses commencing August 1, 2012: GEOG 2710H (fall term) Cities: An Introduction to Urban Geography GEOG 3710H (fall term) Urban and Regional Planning GEOG 3760H (winter term) The Rural-Urban Fringe GEOG 3800H (winter term) Regional Economic Geography of Canada The position also involves some supervision of Honours Theses. In general, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a willingness to develop challenging and innovative approaches to teaching, as well as an ability to work closely with colleagues and students. Applicants should have a Ph.D. and have Geography undergraduate teaching experience. The undergraduate curriculum of the Department of Geography emphasizes small group teaching and fieldwork.
