The Department of Geography < http://www.indiana.edu/~geog> invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Physical Geography to begin on January 1, 2013. Candidates must have a Ph.D., teaching experience, and research and teaching interests that complement current strengths of the department. The appointee will be expected to teach introductory and advanced courses in physical geography, climatology, and environmental topics. Ability to teach world regional geography would be advantageous. Specific teaching duties will be arranged based on candidate background and experience. Instructional responsibilities will be three courses per semester. Initial appointment will be for three semesters, with possibility of extension. Applicants should have or expect to receive the doctoral degree by December 2012. The position will remain open until filled.
