In response to Gordon Shield's putting forth to GEONET that there is a final
service pack available for v4.2, this is not really accurate. As stated by
Greg Hollyer in a prior GEONET, we do not intend to release another service
pack before the 4.3 release because this will delay the release of 4.3.
What I had provided to Gordon were specific fixes to three problems, which
are outlined below. These were provided in response to his comments on
GEONET last week.
- a problem plotting symbols with DUMMY values in the data
- an obscure ABORT that occurred when running line path
- a problem in BIGRID with DUMMY values(gaps)in the data
If you have a specific problem that is related to any of these conditions,
please let me know and I can supply the fixes. If you do not experience
these problems in your work, I do not recommend obtaining these "fixes".
If we do find more problems that require a change in 4.2, the change will be
made available in a similar fashion. As always, please contact your normal
support group to help you through any issues you have with release 4.2.
We are excited, and working diligently on the New Release of v4.3.
