Damyan,
I did some checking on your question about colour tables and could find no
way to bring the import the palette from a tiff to a colour table.
Some imaging programs like Photoshop allow you to export palettes but these
files are binary and cannot be easily converted to colour tables (which are
ASCII). Other programs such as Paint Shop Pro export palettes using the RGB
colour model, instead of the CMYK model that Geosoft Colour Tables use.
If you want to create a colour table that looks like the tiff (but not the
exact values) you can use a paint program to get the RGB values of colours
from the tiff and and use the colour dialog box in the OASIS montaj colour
tool to create a custom colour table.
An example of how to create custom colour tables is provided in the recent
technical note on colour tables:

If you have any more specific questions on colour tables, please contact
technical support, they should be able to answer your questions in more
detail.
Warm Regards,
Chris

Subject: [geonet]: Custom Colour Tables
Hallo list,
Does anybody know an easy way of defining a custom Geosoft Colour Table
based on (for example) the colour table of an imported 256-colour tiff file.
Best regards,
