Should be able to retain components only of a specified dimension, or of
the highest dimension (whatever that may be.) Ideally would consume its
inputs so it could be used in a chained function call
(`GEOSHomogenize(GEOSIntersection(g1, g2), DIMENSION_HIGHEST)`. See
https://github.com/r-spatial/sf/issues/1668#issuecomment-831646994 for an
example use case.
