Hi Andrea,
my idea would be to proceed step by step even because before changing the
coverage readers we need a bit more work on GeoTools side and want to be
sure the ND plugins are stable and well done.
The objective of the proposal is to allow GeoServer to handle the ND
requests and responses just at service level without touching for the moment
the Catalog and the readers. Lets say ... a sort of preparatory proposal
for the hardest part of the ND work.
