Exception on changing LayerGroup Configuration

Steps to reproduce:
1. Start with an unmodified copy of the release data.
2. Log in and add a layergroup. (I was able to trigger this bug by setting one
up with the following params:
name=thebestlayerever
layers=topp:states,sf:streams
styles=
bbox=autogenerated
3. Submit, Apply, Save.
4. There is no 4, you should have a stack trace by now.
