Hi,

These sorts of questions are more suitable to the users list, you will 
get a better response there.

As for the issue. I don't think it is a geoserver problem. As long as 
your firewall is set up to allow or forward requests to the geoserver 
instance it should work. GeoServer does not constrain itself to 
listening just on localhost or anything. So there should not be any 
additional configuration.

So i would verify that your firewall is configured correctly, and ensure 
there are no other network issues going on.
