The code I have done is almost completely separated from the vector
stuff hence, nothing should have changed.
However, if you can be more specific I can double check.

I would push this one step further:

- it would great to align a bit more the code for the raster legends
to the code for the vector legends. I have talked to a client that
might fund that work but so far this is more a wish than  a todo
- in my vision  wanted to make the raster thing work with a single
bufferedimage. I stared with an incremental approach by adapting the
vectore code ( hence creating multiple image and then composing them)
but then I did not had enough time to make the last iteration and use
a single image. So yeah, I think your idea is great, however I am not
sure I will time in the short term to apply it to raster as well.
