Gabriel, I guess what we're missing today is those people that would contribute only if they could use git to do so. I guess there might be some around that ended up despising svn so much that they are not even interested in giving git-svn a go. I'm wondering, if there was some "official" clone of GeoServer on GitHub, would that help those people?
