Point Symbolizer ExternalGraphic rendering problem

Rendering ExternalGraphic in a point symbolizer causes the graphic to have some
degree of resizing causing blurring even when the size of the image (height) is
not specified - as stated in documentation. This was not an issue in version
2.0.2 which we had been using until we upgraded. This effect seems to be
exhibited
with any graphic used and is most easily seen with simple graphics (see
attachment)
