Tool for managing wms path hierarchy ------------------------------------ Key: GEOS-4690 URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4690 Project: GeoServer Issue Type: New Feature Components: WMS Reporter: Lauri Kajan Assignee: Andrea Aime
WMS specification (both 1.1.1 and 1.3.0) supports hierarchial structure in a wms service. This is implemented in GS as a wms path option in a layer config. But in GS there is no option to choose if this wms path is just a hierarchial folder or is it also requestable. Now all wms folders has a <name> element in a getCapabilites which means that the folder is requestable. By specification one layer could also be in several wms folders. This isn't supported in GS at the moment. There should be a tool for managing wms path folders. (creating, deleting, choosing if requestable). In a layer config there should be a option to select in which folder(s) layer belongs to. -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
