SVG Layer Preview not working

Requesting a Point-SVG-Map by clicking in geoserver preview-GUI page on the
SVG-Value of the AllFormats-Dropdown results in a service exception.
When clicking PNG, JPEG, GIF or other WMS-values, no errors occur.
The featuretype is styled as PNG-image from attached style.sld
When deactivating batik-svg renderer and using simple renderer in
geoserver-wms-config, the geoms are rendered as blue points - but not as the
png image from SLD
