Render polygons crossing the dateline without wrapping around the globe
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOS-4867
                 URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4867
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 2.1.2
         Environment: Windows 7 x64, PostgreSQL 9.1.1, PostGIS 2.0.0, JVM
1.6.0_29
            Reporter: Evan Martin
            Assignee: Andrea Aime

When visualising a line or polygon that spans the dateline (eg. 175 0 to -179
0) it goes the long way, all the way around the globe. Please add an option to
draw it the short way, ie. crossing the dateline. This is probably what most
users would expect, so if it's not the default there should be an obvious way
to configure it.
