WicketRuntimeException when adding workspace
--------------------------------------------

                 Key: GEOS-4884
                 URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-4884
             Project: GeoServer
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: REST, UI
    Affects Versions: 2.1.2
         Environment: Windows 7 x64
            Reporter: Chris Wouters
            Assignee: Andrea Aime
         Attachments: stack trace.txt

On a fresh Geoserve 2.1.2 installation, when trying to add a workspace, I get a
WicketRuntimeException. The added workspace is visible, but when trying to add
a coverage store in it with REST, it says "Error auto-configuring
coverage:Resource must be part of a namespace".
It only happens when I delete all standard workspaces provided with the
standard installation before adding the workspace. If I leave all standard
workspaces (like topp), adding a workspace works fine.
When I click on a freshly created workspace, I get a similar error. I've
attached the stack traces of both of them in a text file.

I haven't found a workaround yet, other than just reinstalling Geoserver and
not deleting the standard workspaces.
