Description:

The links on the right on the first page of GeoServer are for Capabilities documents.
For some reason, the WMS-C 1.1.1 and WMTS 1.0.0 documents both arrive at my computer as ".application" files, even though they're actually XML. I've tried looking at the specs for these and as best I can tell they shouldn't be anything other than XML like the other GetCapabilties requests (section 7.1.2 of http://portal.opengeospatial.org/files/?artifact_id=35326).
