Tried again on a Windows 7 Professional VM
- installer correctly detected lack of a JRE
- link pointed to
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html where
the default choice would be Java 8. I cannot find a better link target.
- Tried server-jre-7u65-windows-x64.tar.gz but it was no better or worse
then the standard edition
