Yeah, I have thought about this before. What i was thinking was that we
would have a metadata table stored by jdbc config to store various types of
stuff. One of the things could be a version of the data directory. However,
I am not sure if we have anything that indicates that. I was thinking we
could add a simple number and increment it everytime the configuration
changes. Anyways, might be some issues with that but that was my initial
thinking on the issue.
