Hi,
I'm looking into a case where we would like to have more control over the
capabilities
document generated by GeoServer, without having to fork off its code, or to
interfere
with other plugins already customizing it (e.g. the INSPIRE one).
Now, the requirements would be, more or less, to:
* Contribute to the extensions section (already possible
via ExtendedCapabilitiesProvider,
https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/blob/master/src/wms/src/main/java/org/geoserver/wms/ExtendedCapabilitiesProvider.java
)
* Control the srs list on a per user basis (some users will see more/less
srs than others)
* Control the output formats on a per user basis
I might have other additions of bits to control down the line, but wanted
to check about
the overall direction first.
It seems to me we already have the extension point, the above cited
ExtendedCapabilitiesProvider,

,
and that we just need to add more callback methods, for example:
void customizeRootSrsList(Set<String> srs);
void customizeFormats(String operationName, Set<String> formats);
