Hi, >If memory serves me well
“OGC Web Coverage Service (WCS) Specification Version 1.0.0 (Corrigendum) – OGC Document No. 05-076 Grid coverages have a domain comprised of regularly spaced locations along the 1, 2, or 3 axes of a spatial coordinate reference system. Their domain may also have a time component, which may be regularly or irregularly spaced. A coverage with a homogeneous range set defines, at each location in the domain, either a single (scalar) value (such as elevation), or a series (array / tensor) of values all defined in the same way (such as brightness values in different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum).” This text is about the same in all WCS 1.0.x and 1.1.x versions so 1, 2, or 3 dimensions and possibly time as fourth dimension should be supported. But standards do not say anything about “custom dimensions”. What are they, are they something Geoserver specific or something new introduced with WCS 2.x? -Jukka Rahkonen- Andrea Aime wrote: On Thu, Jun 11, 2015 at 8:25 PM, Marks, David <david.ma...@nrlssc.navy.mil<mailto:david.ma...@nrlssc.navy.mil>> wrote: In my current GeoServer project, we have a custom dimension that shows up and can be queried against in WMS 1.1.1 and 1.3.0, as well as WCS 2.0.1. But for some reason, none of the layers even display the dimension when viewed via getCapabilities or describeCoverage using WCS 1.0.0. Anyone able to think of a reason why the custom dimension would just be missing entirely from WCS 1.0.0 and, if so, how to add it back in? If memory serves me well, WCS 1.0 is limited to support ELEVATION, there is no support for TIME nor for any custom dimension. I believe the limit is in the protocol itself, but I may be wrong Cheers Andrea -- == GeoServer Professional Services from the experts! Visit http://goo.gl/it488V for more information. == Ing.
