Link: Authentication with LDAP I ask because the example actually includes a mini LDAP server. I followed the instructions to the letter in both Geoserver 2.5 and Geoserver 2.7.1, and the LDAP server and basic authentication works, but it all goes south when I try to log in as "bill". I get no admin rights, so apparently the role mapping isn't working right. Can anyone confirm this? Is it supposed to work with v.2.7.1? TIA...
