If the proposal also allowed for selected workspace/layer export/restore to
copy between different environments, that would be additional capability that
would help us.
We have two servers that are both “production”, but one of them is for internal
consumption image processing. The other is oriented for external
consumption. When we complete processing a set of images into a layer, an
export/import would make things much easier on the external consumption server.
Would the export of Styles, either global or workspace contained, be available
by themselves with the proposal? For instance, we use one instance of
GeoServer to develop styles so we don’t impact users. When satisfied, within
the Styles page, a new Export to Server? Option which allows direct export to
the styles rest endpoint.
Just some thoughts.
