Hi, The work done to improve WMTS INSPIRE compatibility was scattered along GeoServer and GeoWebCache.
GeoServer work: [GEOS-7591] Allow WMTS service to be invoked per workspace [GEOS-7592] Add WMTS web admin page [GEOS-7593] Add ISNPIRE required metadata to WMTS get capabilities result GeoWebCache work: Resolves #391, add extensions points in WMTS service Resolves #392, allow a tile layer to provide styles legend information This work has been contributed through three pull requests (already merged on master): https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1646 https://github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/1645 https://github.com/GeoWebCache/geowebcache/pull/393 I would like to backport this work to GeoServer 2.8.x and GeoServer 2.9.x and GWC respective versions. I would like to start the discussion right away about what parts of this work the community is ok to backport and with which timings.
