Over the past while, we have been gradually removing OpenLayers 2 from
GeoServer.
At this point, the only part of GeoServer left which uses OL2 is the WMS
OpenLayers output format, which uses OL3 by default, but can be configured
to use OL2 by way setting the ENABLE_OL3 system property or format option
to false.
Given that OL2 is old, and generally unsupported, does it make sense to
finally remove OL2 from GeoServer?
