I've been wanting to add a capability for gridset aliases to GWC for a while but haven't had time. That would allow for a smooth upgrade path that maintains backward compatibility. It could also be leveraged for protocols that have well known gridsets under different names. Ideally it would also be able to convert between gridsets that differ only in how their levels are numbered such as TMS's global-deodetic and WMTS's GoogleCRS84Quad -- Kevin Smith smit...@draconic.ca
