We are having a problem with styles where there only are one Rule, the Legend
is not rendered with the Name/Title of the Rule. The capabilities dokument does
not contain information for the LEGEND_OPTIONS described in the Geoserver
Documentation, you cannot expect the client to know to set this option if the
infomation is not avariable via the the capabilities dokument. *Thereby must
this be an error*.
The expertation is that the Legend is rendered as its is displayed when you are
creating and reviewing you style in Geoserver, but it simply does not show up
as expected when you see the added style on the layer and if you request the
legend from the link given in the capabilities dokument.
An example is below:
The only other way to get around this, is to make an “work around” by adding an
empty rule, but this can give other problems, like timeouts if you go to a
large schale, and not setting an MaxScaleDenominator to for example 1.
