ok. Any chance you can try a geoserver 2.1 nightly? those use a much newer version of GWC afaik. If that works I can try to upgrade gwc for 2.0.x, though not sure if I can commit to a short time line.
As I'm working on trunk/trunk, that would be easier for me to caught/fix any problem too.
