I think the fact that "the_geom" is null has more weight. It looks like LineString _can_ be substituted for GeometricPrimitivePropertyType: http://xml.fmi.fi/namespace/meteorology/conceptual-model/meteorological-objects/2009/03/26/docindex525.html
Also the GeometricPrimitivePropertyType should be contained within HY-P:geometry, e.g (3.2.1): <HY-P:geometry> <gml:LineString gml:id="anid" srsName="EPSG:4258"> <gml:posList srsName="EPSG:4258" srsDimension="2"> 6.924661311497654 52.387729345846942 6.925458735539538 52.387598110795778 </gml:posList> </gml:LineString> </HY-P:geometry> In http://docs.geoserver.org/stable/en/user/data/app-schema/mapping-file.html there is mention of "targetAttributeNode is required wherever a property type contains an abstract element and app-schema cannot determine the type of the enclosed attribute" but now I am guessing... best, Just van den Broecke www.justobjects.nl On 07-12-10 15:50, will.rog...@stfc.ac.uk wrote: > Thanks both of you for the quick replies. > > I am using a set of INSPIRE schemas generated to conform to 3.1.1 (well > spotted!), so this shouldn't be the problem. > > The other two points are more relevant.
