Morning list,
It took quite a while to find this, but it is easy enough to reproduce and
work around.
1) Setup clean Nightly Build Geoserver (2.1 Beta2)
2) Startup and set WMS interpolation to Bilinear
3) Verify that interpolation applies to Mosaic layer by previewing it, you
should not see any square pixelation as you zoom in. (goes "fuzzy" instead)
4) Remove the 000000 OutputTransparentColor from the Mosaic layer
5) Preview again, and you will see the square pixelation, indicating that
the WMS interpolation is not working.
This was vexing because every time I added a new Image Mosaic store, the
interpolation would stop working since the default layer does not have the
OutputTransparentColor set to anything. Setting it to any color fixes the
problem.
By the way, you will also notice the odd behavior of the interpolation code
at this point, a white border around the image when interpolation is
working.
