Hello list,
I am trying to serve a large raster dataset and was following
the instructions set in a tutorial about the usage of the image pyramid
plugin (
http://docs.geoserver.org/2.0.x/en/user/tutorials/imagepyramid/imagepyramid.html).
The data Im working with is a large mosic image of an entire country.
The steps I have taken are
1. Installed the image pyramid plugin
2. Created a pyramided dataset using gdal_retile.py under the OSGeo4W shell
under Win7. This ran fine and created some files, including coordinate
information Command used is
gdal_retile -v -s_srs <my epsg here> -r bilnear -levels 4 -ps 2048 2048 -co
"TILED=YES" -co "COMPRESS=JPG" - targetDir <Dir here> <file here>
3. Copyed to Geoserver
4. Followed instructions in the tutorial until I get the error: "Could not
list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them: This plugin
accepts only File, URL and String pointing to a fileing pointing to a file"
When I check the folder on the server the plugin has created a folder 0 and
moved the level 0 tifs to there. After that the plugin seams to hang and
submit the error message. Do you have any idea on how to resolve this issue?
I am running Geoserver 2.1.0 under Glassfish 3.1 build 43 on Centos Linux
5.6
