In fact neither mysql nor sql server implement the unit test for sql views
back in Geotools, so not surprised they are not working.

Those databases don't have a developer actually using these databases.
If you want something that actually works with sql views use PostgreSQL,
Oracle or DB2, or else decide to go and modify those stores to work
with views properly, or find someone that will do it for you (see commercial
support in the home page)
