I'm trying to get a box running Ubuntu 10.04 configured to run GeoServer in a
production environment.
I've tried to follow the instructions at:
http://docs.geoserver.org/latest/en/user/production/index.html
I'm running Oracle's JRE:
$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_24"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_24-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.1-b02, mixed mode)
$
I think I have jai_imageio loaded correctly, at least I see no errors. I'm
seeing stuff in catalina.out, though, that suggests I have more to do:
Jul 27, 2011 2:34:26 PM org.apache.catalina.core.AprLifecycleListener init
INFO: The APR based Apache Tomcat Native library which allows optimal
performance in production environments was not found on the java.library.path:
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.24/jre/lib/amd64/server:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.24/jre/lib/amd64:/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.24/jre/../lib/amd64:/usr/java/packages/lib/amd64:/usr/lib64:/lib64:/lib:/usr/lib
And:
Jul 27, 2011 2:56:45 PM it.geosolutions.imageio.gdalframework.GDALUtilities
loadGDAL
WARNING: Failed to load the GDAL native libs. This is not a problem unless you
need to use the GDAL plugins: they won't be
enabled.java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no gdaljni in java.library.path
Any hints?
