Thanks, the functionality in GEOTOOLS seems promising. A simple
alternative to the rendering alternative in GEOTOOLS would be to
interpolate/create new rasters first, then display them at selected
levels. And/or create multiple layers(with the cluster and decluster
approach) and viewing them depending on the zoom level. But in the
long term robust rendering solutions are needed.
