Hi List,
I was getting errors when I published data from a PostGIS 2.0 (with PostgreSQL
9.1) datastore.
The Geoserver log mentioned that the function "envelope" couldn't be found.
After some searching I found the following posts related to this issue:
http://www.postgis.org/pipermail/postgis-users/2011-April/029456.html
http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/Postgis-2-0-and-geoserver-2-1-rc4-td6279059.html
http://osgeo-org.1803224.n2.nabble.com/Postgis-2-0-and-geoserver-2-1-rc1-td6113687.html
The first one helped me to get rid of the problem. In case you are in the same
situation:
Installing the functions: AsText, Envelope & force_2d from the legacy.sql which
is inside the PostGIS-installation helped. (As mentioned in the 1st link).
My Question now is:
Is this related to Geoserver 2.1 RC4? If so, I would move to RC5.
What happened about the plan to get rid of deprecated functions?
If it is about going trough code and finding old functions, I could possibly
help when pointed into the right direction.
Cheers
Torsten
