I looked at the listserv archive and while I came across a message from someone
else with the same problem, I did not see any responses so wanted to bring the
issue up again.

I am able to see WMS responses from Geoserver using Google Earth and some ESRI
products while I am on my work intranet but I am not able to see the responses
using the internet at home when using the same links. The links that work are
pointing to the server DNS name, not localhost, so it should not be a problem.

I have Geoserver 2.1.1 installed on a Windows Server 2003 box. There is no
proxy and our computer support group has opened our firewall for the 8080 port.
While IIS is running, I am accessing Geoserver directly using the built in
Jetty server from the install.

Anyone else run into this issue and resolve it?
