Hi,
I have been doing a project on the topic "Implementation of the Image
preprocessing procedures in the form of OGC compliant web services". This
project involves the user giving a request with area of interest and date
of the req. scene via ajax enabled browser(openlayers). The request will be
sent to the web server(apache) that sends the request for processing to
image server(Geoserver) and return the result to the user. The point here
is the image preprocessing procedures(radiometric aand geometric
correction) has to be performed on the fly to reduce the intermediate
storage and delay of data products generation. My project duration is 3
months.I need some clarification...
1) whether my approach is right for the project?
2) Is it feasible to use the geoserver in the process... I'm a basic java
programmer... so I thought it would be useful if i develop using geoserver
and moreover it supports openlayers
3) Shall I develop the web service for my image preprocessing using eclipse
IDE? If so, is it possible to integrate the java web services with the
geoserver?
4) Is it enough that I can use Geoserver? or I should concentrate on the
development side such as Maven and Eclipse?
5) How can I develop the custom WPS using eclipse ide and integrate with
geoserver?
