Yheaaa, Stephen works awesome !

take a look a snippet of my gwc config ...

<wmsLayer>
  <name>ns:foo</name>
  <mimeFormats>
    <string>image/png</string>
  </mimeFormats>
  <wmsUrl>
    <string>http://localhost:8080/geoserver/wms</string>
  </wmsUrl>
  <parameterFilters>
    <regexParameterFilter>
      <key>viewparams</key>
      <defaultValue></defaultValue>
      <regex>.*</regex>
    </regexParameterFilter>
  </parameterFilters>
</wmsLayer>

but, one more question ... how gwc "cache" works with this "special" parameters
??

gwc generate a new image for each request or internally he stores a touple of
"parameters" -> "image" and according that returns one o other ?

cos' if viewparams change i will "logical" to create a new image for the new
params ... it understands ?

thks !
