I am relatively new to geoserver and tomcat based web apps. I have a
stable 2.1.4 geoserver up and running under tomcat6 / sunJRE / ubuntu. The
issue is that using geoserver through the REST API or via the web admin
interface seems to block on long transactions. For example, if you are
importing a large geotiff via the REST API the web interface will block.
Also, if you are creating a new store this seems to block the web
interface as well.
Is this the expected behavior or is there some configuration parameter that
can be tweaked to make geoserver more responsive?
