Hi all

I am fairly new to geoserver. I want to use it to display some
geographic data and some schematic plans. Obviously the geographic
data is quite straightforward but the schematics are causing me a
small problem.

I have the vectors stored in Oracle, with a "non-earth" SRS. The WKT
is given below. I can display these schematics in tools like uDig. I
am trying to add it as a layer in Geoserver. So I have added my own
custom spatial reference system to match the WKT in Oracle and that is
OK. However, I am being forced to enter a lat long MBR. Why do I need
this ? I am guessing it is so that some reprojection could be done but
I am not needing this for this layer. I just want to use geoserver to
draw some vectors.

OK - so I know that this product is meant for the display of
geo-referenced data - the clue is in the name ;-) - but why can't I
just say, here are some vectors in a non earth coordinate system, draw
them ?! Or can i ? I guess I could enter a fake MBR but it feels odd
to do that.

Thanks

Chris
