Hi Martin,
The CSS module only adds the interactive CSS demo. Allowing clients to
specify CSS in a getMap request is not supported. I agree that is would be
a nice feature, but there are some complications in making it suitable for
the internet. The CSS translation code is currently quite slow, and even
if it were made instantaneous it still is quite easy to construct CSS
styles which generate enormous output. Without some safeguards to prevent
unbounded usage, allowing unauthenticated users to submit arbitrary CSS for
conversion would open GeoServer up to trivial denial-of-service attacks, so
I have not done it.
