Hi, It looks like that certain JPEG2000 file is crashing GDAL. What version of GDAL do you have and which JPEG2000 drivers your version supports? If you can't read image info with GDAL, could it be possible for you to install Kakadu demo programs from http://www.kakadusoftware.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=26&Itemid=22 and study the image with kdu_show viewer? Through menu item File-Properties you will get useful information.
