Hi List,
After some testing I've determined that I'm having an issue with
transparent PNG's in GeoServer 2.5.0.
This issue isn't evident in 2.4.6.
Take this URL:
http://examples/gs/ows?LAYERS=Historical_Maps%3A2500_OSPlan_a5_processed&STYLES=raster&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&SRS=EPSG%3A27700&BBOX=403200,268800,448000,313600&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&FORMAT=image%2Fpng<http://maps.warwickshire.gov.uk/gs/ows?LAYERS=Historical_Maps%3A2500_OSPlan_a5_processed&STYLES=raster&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&SRS=EPSG%3A27700&BBOX=403200,268800,448000,313600&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&FORMAT=image%2Fpng>
In 2.5 it returns:
But in 2.4.6 I get (correctly):
[image:
http://wppgeog3/gs/ows?LAYERS=Historical_Maps%3A2500_OSPlan_a5_processed&STYLES=raster&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetMap&SRS=EPSG%3A27700&BBOX=403200,268800,448000,313600&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&FORMAT=image%2Fpng]
-----
If I change the FORMAT to jpeg, then 2.5 returns it correctly. Or if I
change TRANSPARENT=FALSE but leave it as a PNG.
The issue therefore appears to only be with the handling of transparent
PNG's only.
Anyone else seeing this? I've created
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOS-6454 - as I'm fairly sure it's not on
my end.
Regards,
Jonathan
