Hello All, So this was posted a long time ago but I am running into this problem myself now. Has anything been done since 2011 that will enable this to work?
I have downloaded a simple Landsat8 scene and put it into geoserver - results here http://37.128.132.130:8080/web/ (try not to hammer it) as you can see the effect described by the OT is pretty obvious. Is there any way to turn that sort of auto scaling off? I'm aware some of the image will turn too dark / too bright (clouds / water) but this way isn't very nice either.
