Hi,
If you have installed Geoserver then you have already some demo layers
published as WCS coverages. I think that a good start would be to check the
capabilities from your Geoserver
http://localhost:8080/geoserver/ows?service=wcs&version=1.0.0&request=GetCapabilities
see the layer names of the coverages check with the admin utility how the
corresponding layers have been configured.
